The Full Yield Program improves health and quality of life
Jerry has transformed his health:
I come from a family with health challenges. On my mother’s side, many of my relatives have died young as the result of cancer. High blood sugar and diabetes is common on my dad’s side of the family. I made a decision that I wanted to be healthy and be able to watch my kids grow up, and eventually marry and have families of their own. I also want to grow old and enjoy life with my wife. We’ve been happily married for 24 years and she has always supported my endeavors and for that I am very blessed. This decision, coupled with The Full Yield program, has enabled me to transform my health. What I first heard about The Full Yield Program was, “If you eat exclusively health-supporting foods, over time your body will tell you what to eat and when.” As someone who tried Jenny Craig in the past, I had my doubts that I could achieve this level of success without counting calories or weighing portions. But they were right! Today, I only eat when my body tells me that I am hungry. And I’m surprised to say that it hasn’t been a struggle to change the way I eat. I still have a sweet tooth, but now I satisfy it with a handful of raisins, some strawberries or even a Raspberry Thumb Cookie (I found the recipe on The Full Yield web site).”
The program is very easy. You fall into a pattern of eating better and exercising regularly. I’ve lost 42 lbs. I feel great and I’ve been able to eliminate three medications, one of which is blood pressure. It’s fantastic. I can say with 100% certainty that this has really made a difference in my life. In many, many ways, including how I feel about myself, how I look at the world, and how I feel physically.
Peggie found a program that works:
The Full Yield is like no other nutrition program. It’s not just weight loss. It’s a lighthouse to take you away from the American diet and bring you back to a time when eating healthy foods was an every day thing. This is the first time that I’ve ever been in a program where I eat full meals. There is no other program like The Full Yield. In the past I have tried Weight Watchers. I did try Jenny Craig a long time ago. And of course you do lose weight, but then you gain it back. The reason why you gain it back is because you’re still eating food that is full of sugar, fat, and salt that’s processed, that is not real food. It’s a very nice feeling to know that food cravings aren’t controlling you. It’s a very nice feeling to eat a meal that makes you feel better when you’ve finished eating it. You don’t feel overtired. You don’t feel stuffed.
I came to The Full Yield for the education and I wanted to lose weight. I’ve lost 12 lbs. I’ve been eating what I want within The Full Yield. I’m not even craving any of that stuff I used to eat. My joints aren’t painful anymore and I’m not doing much more than walking the dogs every day.
The food tracker helped me because in the beginning, even though I wasn’t following The Full Yield diet, I was still logging on every day and using it. I started realizing I was eating mostly dairy and bready stuff—pasta, white potatoes. There were zero vegetables in my diet and I didn’t even notice. Now I love vegetables. Realizing what I was eating was a revelation. I continue to use the food log daily, religiously. Now I eat 9–11 vegetables every day.
I like the recipes—I use them as jumping off points. I take some time to prepare meals on the weekend and then it’s ready for the week. Bake sweet potatoes, mash them, and mix in flax meal, cooked oat bran, chopped dates and some eggs. Then I bake it again.
No supports are missing. Everyone bent over backwards to offer help and to be there for me. I just look at my blood results and other results and to me that is proof positive. I love it.
Laura found the program life-changing:
People would walk up to me and say “you’re just melting away.” And I would say, “I know and I don’t even know what I’m doing except eating the right foods.”My doctor has noticed and she said to me, “OK, what are you doing?” And I told her about The Full Yield and I gave her the website and I said, “Go take a look. That’s what I’m doing, that’s my world now.” It’s been absolutely a life changing experience for me and I would recommend it to anyone because it is a life changing experience.
Giles transformed his diet and improved his athletic performance:
I needed to transform my diet. Totally. And I didn’t know anything about doing that. My final weigh in was 179. I was 225 at my first check in. All of my other metrics have followed in concert.Being able to get an initial assessment of all those metrics and to be able to step back and be able to say, “this is where I am and from a health standpoint this is where I want to go or this is where I want to be” [was really helpful]. I used both the pedometer and the food tracker for two full months and tracked everything that I ate. And what was great was that it allowed me to realize that I eat a lot more meat than I really should. And I eat a ton of fruit, but not enough vegetables. So it helped give perspective to what balance of foods I should be eating. You no longer crave those highly refined foods and that was something I experienced 100%.
I completed my first Tough Mudder last Saturday and felt great doing it. It was 10 Miles, 14K feet elevation change (7K up & 7K down), 22 obstacles and 11 teammates. It took 4 hours and had to jump into water at least 6 times. It was the hardest thing I've ever done and I could not have completed it without making the changes that I've been able to make over the last year. The Full Yield was not a dieting gimmick but a way to change my life.
Marion B. got the gift of the life she wanted and is no longer obsessed with food:
I can’t say enough good things about The Full Yield. The program has met all of my expectations and more. And perhaps only I know what an achievement that is. You see I’m a chronic dieter. I went on my first diet at age 14, and 50 years later, I was still dieting. I feel like I’ve lost the same 50 pounds 100 times in those 50 years. But all that’s changed since I became a Full Yielder. Now I’m focused on eating healthy. Unlike other programs I’ve tried, no one at The Full Yield has an expectation that I am going to lose 50 pounds in two months. It’s my agenda this time, and for me, that’s taking it slow, making one significant change a month in consultation with my Full Yield coach, and in the process, changing my patterns for the rest of my life.
And it’s working. I’ve stopped gaining weight—my personal goal—and even lost six or seven pounds without trying. I no longer think about food all the time, planning my lunch while I’m still eating breakfast. I’m not obsessed with food, and I don’t feel guilty about eating…for the first time in my life. And that’s why I love The Full Yield. What a gift this program has been to me. I only wish I had found it sooner.
I never felt deprived. The Full Yield just wanted me to concentrate on the healthy things to include and didn’t talk about what I was going to lose. I was so grateful for that. It’s not about losing weight, it’s about eating healthy and putting balance in your life. And that was the kind of stuff I needed to hear. The controlling and measuring—none of that has ever worked for me. It’s about how it’s changed my life.
It’s a way of life. It’s not about deprivation. It’s not about dieting. It’s just eating healthy so you can live for the next day. In addition to being free from endless thoughts about food, I have so much more energy now. That’s probably because I no longer eat sugar except for one ounce of dark chocolate a day usually paired with two or three dried apricots. It’s a daily treat I savor.
This is all I’m doing now. It’s such a gift. I cannot explain to people any stronger than saying that this has been a gift. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.
Cynthia lost 70 pounds and has a new relationship with food:
I’ve been troubled with my weight for a very long time. The overall result from other programs was that I did lose some weight, but it was temporary because it was a diet. I don’t look at The Full Yield as a diet. What I’m doing is truly a lifestyle change. It’s not a temporary thing, it’s not something you’re on. It’s just the way I eat now. That’s a huge difference. In other programs you’re encouraged to weigh, to measure. With The Full Yield I’m not tied to a scale, I’m not tied to a measuring cup. I don’t count points. I’m just eating healthy. That has been the big difference for me.Initially when I heard about the focus on eating healthy and maintaining an active lifestyle, it was interesting to me because I knew I was heading in the wrong direction. I needed something to get me on the right track. And I’ve done this before, I’ve lost weight before, but I’ve always gained it back. I don’t intend to this time around because I’ve changed the way I eat, I’ve changed my philosophy about food. It’s a lifestyle now, it’s not a temporary thing. It’s been a great experience for me. A truly lifesaving experience for me. It has been a lifestyle change.
The Full Yield is about abundance. Not only is there an abundance of good foods for you to eat, but you can still eat a lot. I can’t say that I’ve lost 70 pounds through starving myself. I have not. People are surprised when they hear that. I eat a lot. I have a nice healthy salad at lunch. I don’t measure 2 oz of this or that. I fill up my container with dark greens and put other things in it. It’s a nice hearty salad. I make my olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and herbs. It’s been great for me.”
Susan G.’s family got healthier right along with her:
“I am married and have two children. The benefits from The Full Yield weren’t just for myself, but my family could benefit too. I have changed how I shop. I’ve cut out things and look at ingredients. I base things on natural, organic foods and keep ingredients to a few. I bring my yogurt with berries to work. I bought flax seed and make a parfait with it. It’s not a sacrifice; it’s like a dessert. That, to me, has been critical. The Full Yield is all encompassing as far as nutrition information and has a step-by-step implementation. Eat this because it’s better for you and it helps you understand the why. You can say it, but this program brings you to understand it.
The Full Yield has definitely helped my family and me to make changes that will be sustainable - primarily in the area of food choices. It taught me so much. This program gave me unbiased, broad, simple solutions. It was easy to bring into the home. Simple. The support, tools, and measurements were key. I really support The Full Yield. You come to learn how critical the cause and effect relationship is between food and how you feel. ”
Steady support helped Suzanne make changes and finally lower her cholesterol:
My cholesterol is down below 200. It has not been below 200 in eight years. Wherever I was in my encouragement of myself there was never a question as far as The Full Yield was concerned. They started from day one to support me in every way you can think of. And I know all the ways to get around not doing something. Bit by bit, piece by piece. A goal setting, a recipe, a Virtual Workshop—it’s like “oh yeah, they’re still here. They’re not leaving I guess I’ll stick with this.”Susan R. can really see her success:
I know I am succeeding at The Full Yield program because of how I feel and because I am enjoying eating the health-supporting foods. I see my biometrics online putting my accomplishments right under my nose. My numbers are all positive, and I am very happy to see the good numbers “I” have been able to put up. Before, I would always give up because I did not know how I was doing. There is no support or coaching in other programs I have tried. I like how easy they made it for me. I use the Grocery Guide and buy the health-supporting foods and then go online to learn how to use these foods. There are wonderful recipes that are easy to follow and to make at home by myself or with my spouse and family.Jeff and his family no longer crave processed foods and have made health-supporting eating a way of life:
In less than three months, The Full Yield program has become a way of life for my family and me. It’s been a relatively easy transition for my wife and me—and even our kids. It is not a deprivation diet, which I have tried unsuccessfully in the past. It directs you to good and healthy choices from regular life, and I am finding that I like the better choices—fruits, vegetables, nuts, natural products. After a short while, I lost the taste for processed foods and sweets. Today, I am much more satisfied with an apple than with some cookies. It’s amazing how quickly the body resets.Tricia and her family cook together and exercise has become second nature:
The website offers so much! I especially like the recipes and the videos on food preparation. For me, I know what’s good and not good; it’s just taking the time to make it! The Full Yield recipes are easy...and there are so many of them! I started a Full Yield recipe book—printing out the “keepers”—the ones my husband, son and I like best. My husband does the program with me, so I get him to help me with the cooking, too. He’s happy to help out as “sous chef” because the end result is a delicious healthy meal.I also wore the pedometer forever. It is amazing how that little device will get you up and moving. Now it’s second nature to me. I also have an elliptical at home, and try to get on that as often as possible during the week, for 45 minutes.
Amie makes health-supporting choices every day:
Being in the program has made it easier to pick something healthy when I go to a restaurant. I have found times when I will get a side of something unhealthy - to cheat or splurge, but it doesn’t satisfy me or even taste good. That’s probably been the biggest change. I am craving and enjoying more healthy foods. The more I learn, the more I realize there is so much wrong with our culture, with government policies that make it hard for people to eat well. I think this program is trying to overcome those barriers, to educate people, and help people understand. I really believe in the program.Yolanda looks brighter:
I met an old friend who I haven’t seen since I started this program 3 months ago. The first thing she said was, “you look so “bright,” what are you doing? At first her words caught me off guard I couldn’t figure out when she meant. Then I said, “must be my new eating habits, that include unprocessed foods straight from the earth” with a huge “bright” smile. Thanks for this awesome solution for better overall health.”Todd found all the support he needed to feel better:
To me The Full Yield program can be summed up in one word: support. Eat natural unprocessed food and get more exercise, doesn’t sound too revolutionary to me. But The Full Yield is revolutionary because I am now part of a community of people committed to this change. Through the website, the videos, recipes, many of my excuses for not making this change in the past have been eliminated. All the tools have been useful in different ways. The most helpful for me were the videos, the recipes, and the coaching sessions. The videos were inspirational to say the least and really got me excited to be part of the community. I cannot get enough of recipes and would really like to see even more added to the website. The behavior change coaching helped me identify that I was rationalizing poor food choices. This was instrumental in trying to avoid situations that would give me an out, or excuse, not to stick to the program.
I feel better about myself, have more energy during the day and sleep better at night. My sweet tooth is still very much intact, but now I can be satisfied with a small piece of dark chocolate or a piece of fruit. For me success was not measured only by how I feel, but also the changed behavior of my family. My wife and my daughter have enjoyed my cooking and this has further strengthened my commitment to the program.
Barbara jumped right into the education and support and ran with them—literally!
“I use the pedometer and I am still wearing it. I found at the beginning it made me exercise much more. I just started running. The material is very clear and you need all that support. I love the health-supporting and health-depleting language. The weekly newsletters are really good. I do feel like it was great to do it in the work environment. I have a co-worker who has done it with me. And that was a support.”Go to the previous section.
